Twisted Tales – Drama & Mystery Stories

STITCHED IN REVENGE

The bridal boutique was filled with soft afternoon sunlight. White curtains hung gracefully beside the tall windows, and the polished marble floor reflected the elegant surroundings. In the center of the luxurious showroom stood a beautiful young Black woman named Victoria.

Today was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life.

Victoria stood before a large mirror, admiring the breathtaking wedding gown she had dreamed of wearing. The magnificent white dress featured a sparkling, off-the-shoulder bodice that hugged her figure perfectly. Its enormous skirt flowed around her like a cloud of delicate silk.

She gently lifted the skirt and twirled, watching the fabric swirl across the floor.

For a moment, she felt like a princess.

“It’s perfect,” she whispered, a radiant smile spreading across her face. “Absolutely perfect.”

But Victoria didn’t notice the blonde woman standing behind her.

The woman’s name was Jessica.

Dressed in a fitted red dress, Jessica watched Victoria with a cold expression. Her lips tightened as her eyes traveled over the magnificent wedding gown.

In her hands, she held a container filled with bright pink liquid.

Victoria was still smiling at her reflection when Jessica suddenly stepped forward.

Without warning, Jessica swung her arm.

SPLASH!

A wave of bright pink liquid flew through the air and crashed against Victoria’s beautiful white gown.

The liquid spread rapidly across the expensive fabric, staining the enormous skirt in shocking shades of pink.

Victoria froze.

For several seconds, she couldn’t move.

Her smile vanished as she slowly looked down at the ruined dress.

Then she turned around.

“WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!”

Her voice echoed through the boutique.

Jessica stood before her, looking strangely calm.

“Oh, relax,” Jessica replied, crossing her arms. “It’s just a dress.”

Victoria stared at her in disbelief.

“Just a dress?” she repeated, her voice trembling. “Are you out of your mind? This is my WEDDING DRESS!”

Jessica rolled her eyes.

“You’re being dramatic.”

Victoria’s hands curled into fists.

“Dramatic? You deliberately threw paint all over my wedding gown! Do you have any idea how much this dress means to me?”

Jessica gave a dismissive shrug.

“Maybe you shouldn’t act like you’re better than everyone else.”

Victoria stepped backward, stunned by the cruelty of those words.

“What have I ever done to you?” she asked.

Jessica didn’t answer.

Instead, she looked at the ruined gown with a faint, satisfied smile.

Victoria felt something inside her break.

She looked down at the pink stains covering the delicate white fabric. The dress she had dreamed about for so long was destroyed.

Her knees weakened.

“No…” she whispered. “No, this can’t be happening.”

Unable to hold herself upright, Victoria collapsed onto the floor.

The enormous wedding gown spread around her, its once-pristine white layers now covered in bright pink stains.

She gathered the ruined fabric into her hands.

Tears filled her eyes.

“This was supposed to be the happiest day of my life,” she whispered.

Her voice cracked.

“Why would you do this to me?”

Before Jessica could respond, footsteps sounded near the entrance.

Victoria raised her head.

Three figures stood in the doorway.

The first was a sophisticated middle-aged woman wearing a shimmering champagne-gold dress. Her dark hair fell elegantly around her shoulders, and her expression was severe.

Her name was Margaret.

Behind her stood a tall, broad-shouldered man in a dark navy suit. His face remained unreadable.

Jessica quickly moved toward Margaret, standing close beside her.

Margaret looked down at Victoria.

Then her gaze fell on the ruined wedding dress.

“What on earth happened here?” she demanded.

Victoria pointed toward Jessica.

“She did this! She threw pink paint all over my wedding gown!”

Margaret turned toward Jessica.

Jessica immediately shook her head.

“She’s exaggerating. It was an accident.”

“AN ACCIDENT?!” Victoria cried.

She struggled to her feet but couldn’t manage it beneath the weight of the enormous skirt.

“You walked straight up to me and threw it on purpose!”

Jessica looked away.

Victoria turned desperately toward Margaret.

“Please, you have to believe me. I didn’t do anything to deserve this.”

For a moment, Margaret studied her.

Then she exchanged a glance with Jessica.

Victoria waited.

She waited for someone to defend her.

Someone to tell Jessica that what she had done was unforgivable.

But no one did.

Instead, Margaret spoke sharply.

“Enough of this. We need to leave.”

Victoria’s eyes widened.

“Leave?”

Margaret turned toward the door.

The man in the navy suit followed.

Jessica glanced back at Victoria one last time.

A faint smile appeared on her face.

Then she walked away.

Victoria stared after them.

“Wait!” she shouted. “You’re just going to leave me here?”

Nobody stopped.

“After everything she’s done to me?”

The door closed.

Silence filled the boutique.

Victoria sat alone on the floor, surrounded by the remains of her beautiful wedding gown.

For a long time, she didn’t move.

Tears rolled slowly down her cheeks.

She remembered how excited she had been that morning. How carefully she had chosen every detail of the dress. How she had imagined walking down the aisle, feeling beautiful and loved.

Now, all she could see were the bright pink stains.

She lowered her head.

But then something changed.

Victoria wiped the tears from her face.

She stared at the ruined fabric.

Slowly, her expression hardened.

“No,” she whispered.

She pressed one hand against the floor and forced herself upright.

“I’m not letting them win.”

Her eyes moved across the pink-stained skirt.

A thought began forming in her mind.

She looked at the color again.

Bright pink.

Bold. Unexpected. Impossible to ignore.

Then she remembered something.

Something she hadn’t done in years.

Sewing.

Victoria had once loved designing dresses. As a young girl, she spent countless hours sketching gowns and transforming ordinary pieces of fabric into beautiful creations.

She had abandoned that passion long ago.

But now, staring at her ruined wedding dress, she realized something important.

Perhaps Jessica had destroyed the dress.

But she hadn’t destroyed Victoria’s talent.

And she certainly hadn’t destroyed her future.

A determined smile slowly appeared on Victoria’s face.

“Fine,” she whispered. “You want pink?”

She looked down at the ruined gown.

“Then I’ll give you pink.”

That evening, Victoria entered a small sewing workshop.

Gone was the luxurious bridal boutique.

There were no enormous mirrors or sparkling chandeliers.

Only a worktable, an old sewing machine, scattered materials, and the quiet hum of overhead lights.

Victoria had changed into a simple black strapless dress.

She placed several pieces of pale pink fabric on the table.

Then she spread them out carefully.

Her fingers moved slowly over the material as she studied its texture.

A design began taking shape in her imagination.

Not an ordinary wedding dress.

Something extraordinary.

She picked up a piece of fabric and positioned it beneath the sewing machine’s needle.

The machine began to hum.

Stitch after stitch, the material came together.

Victoria worked with extraordinary concentration.

She measured.

She folded.

She pinned.

She stitched.

She carefully added shimmering decorative fabric and delicate silver details.

Hours passed.

The workshop grew darker as evening turned into night.

But Victoria refused to stop.

Whenever exhaustion threatened to overwhelm her, she remembered Jessica’s satisfied smile.

Whenever her hands grew tired, she remembered Margaret walking away.

And whenever doubt crept into her mind, she remembered the beautiful white wedding dress lying ruined on the floor.

“They thought they could break me,” she murmured as the sewing machine continued running.

She guided another piece of fabric beneath the needle.

“But they’re about to find out how wrong they were.”

Finally, after countless hours of work, Victoria leaned back.

She stared at what she had created.

Her eyes widened.

A breathtaking blush-pink wedding gown stood before her imagination brought to life.

The enormous skirt flowed outward in magnificent layers. Intricate silver embroidery decorated the soft pink fabric, while countless sparkling details caught the light.

It was elegant.

It was dramatic.

It was unlike anything Victoria had ever designed.

And most importantly, it was hers.

A short time later, the spectacular gown stood on display inside an elegant room.

Margaret, dressed in her shimmering champagne-gold outfit, approached the mannequin.

She reached out and gently touched the delicate fabric.

Her expression changed.

For a moment, she seemed unable to find the words.

“Oh my goodness…” she whispered.

Her fingers traced the intricate silver embroidery.

“This dress…”

She paused.

“It’s absolutely breathtaking.”

Margaret stepped back to admire the gown.

She had no idea what had inspired its creation.

And she certainly had no idea whose hands had brought it to life.

But that was about to change.

Because Victoria was no longer the helpless bride crying on the floor.

She had created something far more beautiful than the dress Jessica had destroyed.

And when the truth finally came out…

Nothing would ever be the same again.
